Tratto rug

Tratto has a geometric pattern and combines two kinds of surface: a regular pile and a loop pile. Most of the fiber is Himalayan wool, 80%, soft to the touch, and the other 20% is bamboo silk, which catches the light, so the pattern shows through sheen as well as color.

Three color combinations are made: Ruggine, a rust tone, on a Tortora dove-gray ground; Carbone, a charcoal, on Tortora; and Tortora on a Carbone ground. Production is by hand, on a handloom in India, with a cotton weft and a 3–4 mm pile, in rectangular or square formats, and custom sizes are possible.
