Dama rug

A checkered pattern is what sets the Dama rug apart; it shares its name with the Dama coffee tables. The pattern is worked in Himalayan wool in natural tones and black bamboo silk, so the matte wool and the sheen of the silk alternate across the floor.

The pile is half wool and half bamboo silk, 3–4 mm high, on a cotton weft. The rugs are handmade on a handloom in India. Standard formats are rectangular and square, and custom sizes can be made to order.
