Shindo rug
The pattern on the Shindo rug looks raised, yet it is not carved: the effect comes from two fibers set side by side, Himalayan wool and bamboo silk in equal parts, which catch the light differently.
It is woven by hand in India on a horizontal loom, using the traditional handloom technique, over a cotton base. The pile is 3–4 mm high. Shindo is made rectangular, square or oval, in three colors, Grey, Natural and Celadon, chosen to go with recent Poliform collections.
