Cannelé rug

Cannelé is a two-tone striped rug in which each stripe also has its own texture: the black stripes are bouclé, the pearl ones are hand-cut pile. It is made by hand on a hand loom in India, as a rectangle or a square, and the size can be customized.

The weft is cotton. The cut pile, 6 mm high, is a blend of 75% Himalayan wool and 25% bamboo silk, while the bouclé is 100% Himalayan wool. That way the stripes are felt underfoot as well as seen.
