Soft Swing chair

Soft Swing takes the idea of a garden swing and brings it inside as a seat for the home. Daniele Lago designed it in 2004 with a plain, linear outline and a seat panel that only looks rigid: the wood is cut into sections and bonded to foam, so the lacquered mosaic yields under the weight of the body.

Like the Soft bench from the same year, it is finished in lacquer and comes in a palette of 32 colors. It is meant for indoor rooms, not for the garden that inspired it, and the colored lacquer is what gives it its playful look.
