Biza sofa

Monica Armani looked to Byzantine architecture for the Biza sofa in 2024, above all to the cupolas of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, and the soft, rounded yet precisely drawn volumes keep that reference. The construction is easy to read: a tapered base rests on the floor, the seat cushions and back volumes are placed on it, and the backs project outward beyond the base line.

Biza is modular. Its elements join into a straight sofa for one wall or into a wraparound arrangement that encloses the seating area of a living room. The upholstery can be chosen from 14 options in the catalog, among them Darwin, Please, Axum and Barkley. For a single seat in the same style there is the Biza armchair, built the same way as a stand-alone piece.
