Biza armchair

The Biza armchair by Monica Armani (2024) is a deep, rounded lounge seat built in layers. A tapered base stands directly on the floor; the seat cushion and the backrest are laid on top of it, and the back swells outward past the edge of the base, which gives the piece its recognizable profile. The volumes are soft and curving, and the padding invites you to sit back and stay a while.

The upholstery comes in 15 options, such as Darwin, Please, Francis or Frosty. It belongs to the same family as the Biza sofa, which shares the base-and-cushions construction but is modular. The two can be combined in one living room, with the armchair as a stand-alone seat beside a straight or wraparound sofa.
