Chama armchair

The Chama armchair, designed by Mi Jin Park for Lago in 2011, is a futon put to work as a seat. It consists of a mattress and cushions. Folded, the mattress forms an armchair; laid out flat, it turns into a chaise longue on the floor or into a bed, and the factory mentions single and double versions.

Most of the time Chama is simply a place to sit, and when friends stay overnight it changes in a moment into an extra bed. The cover can be chosen from 9 options in the catalog, such as Darwin, Francis, Axum, Barkley, Lario and Somme. Its relative in the same collection, the Chama sofa bed, follows the same principle on a larger scale: there the folded mattress seats two people and opens into a double bed.
