Wind bookcase

Wind is a modular bookcase by Giuseppe Bavuso and Rimadesio’s take on the most basic form of shelving. It is made entirely of aluminum and looks light, while the engineering stays in the joints.

The key point of the system is how the shelves meet the uprights. The shelves are extruded aluminum, the uprights are die-cast, and the uprights come in central and end versions, so a bookcase can grow sideways bay by bay and finish cleanly at the sides. Wind suits a living room or study that needs a long, regular wall of books.
