Wabi chair

Wabi is a chair by Giuseppe Bavuso that mixes ideas from Japanese aesthetics and northern European craft. Its wooden frame follows a softly curved line, and the seat is woven from cord rope or made of leather with visible stitching, which keeps the piece light to the eye.

The frame comes in three oak finishes: rovere chiaro (light oak), rovere termotrattato (heat-treated oak) and rovere nero (black oak). The cord is natural or black. Inside the seat a special support structure adds comfort beyond what the slim look suggests. For counters and snack tables there is the Wabi stool in the same materials.
