Sophis chair

Sophis is a dining chair by Giuseppe Bavuso that looks familiar at first glance but is shaped by a few careful details. The wooden frame carries the design, above all in the large backrest that wraps around the sitter.

The second detail is the way each leg joins the rim of the padded seat, a joint that is worked by hand and left visible. Wood and upholstery are chosen from the Rimadesio range of finishes, and the many possible pairings let the chair look calm and classic or more graphic, depending on the room it goes into.
