Fluttua bed
Fluttua, designed by Daniele Lago in 2004, is a bed that seems to hover above the bedroom floor. The whole frame rests on one central support, adjustable in height and anchored to the wall by a dedicated fixing, while the HPL base under the mattress stays out of sight. Nothing projects past the mattress, so there is nothing to bump into and the floor beneath is easy to clean. The bed has been tested with loads up to 240 kg, has no slats and does not creak, and it can go on different wall types, plasterboard included.
LED lighting can be fitted beneath the frame and in the headboard. Headboards run horizontally or vertically, in fabric, Wildwood or glass, with 17 finishes for the standard headboard and 7 for the glass one; shelves and bedside tables can be combined with them. For children's rooms there is Fluttua Single.
