Colletto bed

Colletto, designed by Nuša Jelenec of LAGO STUDIO in 2009, wraps the mattress in a thick ring of soft foam. The ring behaves like the collar of a turtleneck sweater: rolled down, it leaves the bed open; raised halfway, it makes it semi-closed; pulled all the way up, it forms a soft enclosure that screens the sleeper from sight and noise. The ring is fastened to the frame with Velcro.

The cover is a two-tone stretch fabric that keeps the bed looking tidy and can be taken off, washed and ironed. Since there are no hard corners, the single version is also suited to a child's room. The factory lists single, three-quarter and double versions, as well as matching Colletto bedside tables.
