Sail doors

Sail is a sliding door by Giuseppe Bavuso finished the same way on both sides, so it can close off a living area or a bedroom without showing a back face. Its components are assembled largely by hand, and the result is meant to be read as a piece of furniture rather than a plain panel.

The door pairs glass from the Rimadesio range with structural elements in aluminum. These can also be veneered in walnut or in heat-treated oak, bringing wood into a glass door. Glass color and frame finish are chosen separately, which gives a very large number of combinations.
