Moai coffee table
Moai, designed by Riccardo Gussoni, is a coffee table carved from solid lime wood. Its silhouette narrows in the middle like an hourglass, and a cylinder passes through that waist, adding a further surface between the two heavier volumes. The name points to the stone statues of Easter Island.
The wood is always lacquered rather than left natural. There are 26 matt colors and the same 26 in high gloss, from Gesso and Caolino to Nero, plus 8 metallic lacquers such as Champagne Gold, Bronzo and Titanio. Dimensions are not given in the catalog data, so check the drawing with the studio when planning the living room.
