Skin bathroom furniture

Skin is a washbasin by Daniele Lago, from 2013, shaped as if a piece of the wall covering had peeled away and curled out into a basin. A solid steel structure carries it, and the surface is clad either in resin or in small mosaic tiles, so the basin can continue the finish of the wall behind it.

The bowl is inclined so that water runs off quickly, which also makes cleaning simpler. The patch of wall left exposed behind the peeled part is finished in one of the factory's colors. A soap dish and a towel hook follow the same idea. Besides home bathrooms, the basin is meant for hotels, restaurants and wellness areas. The listed finish is resin, offered in different colors.
