Et Voilà wardrobe

Et Voilà is a 2011 wardrobe by Daniele Lago without conventional doors. The front is a large panel of fabric stretched taut, so the closed wardrobe reads as a soft textile wall rather than a piece of furniture, and it opens with one simple movement on a quiet sliding mechanism.

The textile, called Stratus, is built around a technical core, with a weave that keeps dust out, and it absorbs sound, which makes the bedroom acoustically softer. Magnets hold it tight and adjust by themselves, and hidden zips make it easy to remove for cleaning. Side panels come in melamine or lacquer, the carcass in Pomice melamine. The wardrobe is planned to the millimeter, and inside it takes drawers, shelves, LED lighting, mirrors and a tree-shaped metal clothes rail.
