Matisse wardrobe

Matisse is an open walk-in wardrobe: instead of doors, a load-bearing grid of metal uprights holds shelves, drawer units and mirrors in plain view. It is based on two repeatable modules, 120 cm wide and 50 cm deep, one with four drawers and one with two drawers and a built-in mirror, which can be repeated along a wall.

The uprights come in patinated bronze or black chrome. Drawer fronts are leather with vertical fluting, and shelves are marble or leather-covered. Extra boxes, shelves and mirrors can be added to the grid. The system stands 257 or 300 cm high and can be fixed to the wall or braced floor to ceiling, which suits a dressing room more than an ordinary bedroom wall.
