Liberty P. table lamp

Liberty P. sets a glass sphere on top of a fluted metal stem, whose vertical grooves recall a Doric column. The globe glows evenly in every direction, and the contrast between the ribbed base and the smooth ball is the whole idea of the lamp.

It comes 60 cm high, for a bedside or side table, and 138 cm high as a floor lamp, both 40 cm across. The metal is bronzed brass, black chrome or polished gold brass, and the glass can be blown or smoked. Other Liberty lamps use the same stem with fabric shades.
