Ube coffee table

Jean-Marie Massaud modeled Ube, in 2022, on the coco de mer seed, which grows on a tropical palm and has a full, rounded shape. The piece is made from a single block of solid black elm, and the top sinks into a concave hollow that holds you like a cradle when you sit down.

Poliform files Ube with its coffee tables, but it is made for sitting: next to a sofa or an armchair it gives an extra seat, and the rest of the time it stands in the living room as a small wooden sculpture.
