Onda bed
Paolo Piva designed the Onda bed in 2007 around one curved line that runs from the headboard down into the base without a break. The padded frame, molded from flexible polyurethane, wraps around the mattress and stands on slim painted metal feet in matte brown nickel.
The whole bed is covered in leather with capitonné quilting, a stitched checkered pattern that is still done by hand. The cover is fixed rather than removable, and the leather can be chosen from 8 ranges. Inside the frame goes a fixed or an anatomical bed base, and a pair of bolster cushions can be added. The Onda name also covers a pouf, bedside tables and a chest of drawers.
