Baba side table
The base of Baba is shaped to slide under the sofa, bringing the top close to the seat while leaving the floor clear. Roberto Barbieri designed this compact living room table in 2012 around a metal sheet 8 mm thick.
The metal is finished in matte or glossy brown nickel, or lacquered in one of 26 matte colors. The top is lacquered MDF, in the same 26 matte shades or 21 glossy ones, marble in 12 varieties, or glass. Base and top can be lacquered in one color or contrasted, for example a marble top over a lacquered base.
